AllanCOCKINGThe funeral took place on 12th October 2017 of Allan Cocking, only son of Shirley and Christopher Cocking. The only brother of Diana, Wendy and Terri Lea. A loving uncle to Hallie, Eden and Oliver. Much loved grandson of Robert and Josie Cocking and the late Bill and May Leech. Dearly loved nephew, cousin, step son and step brother. Adopted in love by Naomi, Paula and Laura. A loving friend and mentor to us all. Allan died peacefully and with dignity on 4th October surrounded by his loving family, after enduring Motor Neurone Disease for the last six years. Many thanks to Pastor Ronnie Evans for providing such a wonderful, heartfelt service, to the many others who helped with the service to make it truly memorable, and also to the pall bearers. To Steven Evans and our family in Jesus at Firwood Church who have given much love and support to Allan and ourselves over the years. Our many thanks and gratitude to Springhill Hospice for their love, care and support over the years. Our thanks also to the MND Association and to the dedication of doctors and nurses at Salford Royal Hospital and Wythenshawe Ventilation Unit, also to local Care Services for their care and help. Thanks to those who travelled long distances to be with us, to the many family, friends and neighbours, to the Old Cock Inn for their hospitality and to Lynn McMahon for providing food, also to Susan Travis for beautiful flowers. Thank you to S Wellens & Sons, Funeral Directors, for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements. Thank you for your kind donations to Springhill Hospice in Allan's memory, which can still be made through Wellens or directly to the hospice.
